BIOGRAPHY
Huang Peisen (b. 1986, Taichung) is a contemporary Taiwanese photographer whose practice bridges the gap between documentary precision and conceptual inquiry. Drawing from an interdisciplinary background in civil engineering and furniture design, Huang’s work is deeply informed by his observations of urban mobility—most notably during his extensive experience as a food delivery courier.
This unique vantage point allows him to transform the mundanity of the streets into a visual language characterized by social critique and humor. Through techniques such as image displacement and the construction of miniature scenes, Huang reconstructs contemporary Taiwanese social phenomena to explore the friction between political structures and ecological environments, establishing a compelling tension between the observed and the constructed.
